So that's why it has a 4-second charge-up... · 1:15pm Jul 10th, 2022
I'm playing a mage for the first time in Skyrim, and I finally got to the point where I could try Master-level Destruction school spells.
At first I was miffed that you had to get Destruction to 90 to even get the quest to even be able to buy these spells, then when I could buy them they were some of the most expensive items in the game thus far, and then finding that Lightning Storm had a 4-second charge period where you are unable to move and completely vulnerable...
...Then I tried it on a dragon.
Spell is not modded, it's from the vanilla game. I'm running over 60 mods for this playthrough. It's awfully nice giving my GPU a break from all the modern games, playing something that can have 60+ mods plugged in and the card never goes above 60% utilization.
I'm on molded ps4 but my mods are either cosmetic(environment, npc overall) or just improved player items(item weight, space etc.) I m a mage and still at 86 yet and it's still a pain in the ass for me to conjure a master level spell
High level Destruction spells are so awesome. One of the reason I love Mage playthroughs. Though I do greatly enjoy a good rogue/assassin. Confusing your enemies, causing frenzy, plus constantly disappearing and assassinating enemies one by one? Always fun.
Then there’s the archer: taking them all out from a distance with them only sometimes noticing their being taken out.
One of my all time favorite games, and very…therapeutic too. Though Elden Ring is getting there for me too.

Haven't dove into Elden Ring yet. Will probably wait for a sale.
