What writing Silent-verse Vinyl Scratch has been like the last month and a half.
So, 20K words later, and I am still stuck on 19. Good news is, I have plenty of things to draw from for later once some character growth happens, but she is a stubborn one. I am desperately trying to hit a story beat, but she just won't let me now matter how hard I try! It all stems from the reveal in the chapter 18.

It is a weird form of writer's block that I've never encountered before. I can write plenty of things, but eventually, for me to get her to say something important, it comes off as out of character for her because she doesn't want to talk about anything because she is so bad at lying. I already got her drunk once to slip something, and I am not pulling that cliche again. I am trying desperately to steer her away from the abyss, but she's almost hellbent on careening off a cliff.
I am getting closer, but this next chapter needs a bit more time in the oven. I know it was delayed from illness and now I have a bit of a blockage, but it is very important to me to take the time to get Vinyl right. I promise you all that I am working on it, but please be patient. If I can manage, I do think what I have written is usable when Vinyl is ready. I want her to grow. I want it RIGHT NOW! But, I know I can't force her to open up. So, while I find the proper can opener, please wait.

Fortunately, this is no longer the case. Right now, I'm debating between releasing the next stuff as 1 or 2 chapters as it breached 10K words. Either way, it will all come at the same time. Just waiting for the editor to get back to me.
