Story review #15: A Chance Meeting —by bahatumay
Character’s:
Sunset Shimmer: Sunset is pretty much who she is in canon and I enjoyed her as the main ish character of the story.
Adagio Dazzle: snarky, sassy, showing some cleavage to entice her audience. Pretty much the Adagio we all know and love in the show and in the community/on Fimfiction. Love her distain for humans and the fact she see’s us as lower life forms compared to sirens!
Premise: A lonely and bored Sunset decides to go to the new karaoke/milkshake bar and she runs into a certain Siren who is doing karaoke to make herself feel better since losing her singing.
It was a cute and fun plot though I do wish it would get a sequel or an epilogue so we could see more of Sunset & Adagio relationship develop.
Grammar and Punctuation: Solid 9.4 out of 10 for the grammar and punctuation.
Dialogue: Was witty and full of chemistry and I loved it but I would say if it were any characters other then Adagio and Sunset I would complain about the dialogue being off putting but since it is them it’s all good.
Flaws: I really didn’t see many flaws but if I had one it would be that I wish it was longer. That’s my fault though because of the Adagio x Sunset competition having a time limit/because I set it up that way.
Strengths: I love the chemistry between the 2 titular characters and the basic plot of the entire story.
But as always those are just my 2 cents and I recommend you check out the story yourself and form you’re own opinion. It’s a really good One-Shot and I recommend you check it out.
Rating: 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤 7/10 Microphones for karaoke night.
