My eighth anniversary, and a furry guest · 12:53am Dec 25th, 2021

So it's been eight years to the day since I joined FimFiction and it has been quite a ride.

I've seen an entirely new series come and pass, only to see the start of a genuine successor series. That is a first in MLP history, and there is still no way of knowing how it will turn out.

I am curious to see it though.

I am also trying to return to writing, but this year has made it quite rough on me.

My fall earlier this year sidelined me quite hard, and I still have yet to reclaim my life all of the way at the moment. It's been trying just from the aspect of my physical recovery alone.

Not to mention the medical bills stressing me further and killing my motivation to write. 🤦‍♀️

Still, new ideas are emerging and I am doing all that I can to get back on track

In the mean time, I have lost 118 lbs., and the swelling in my right leg is nearly gone all of the way. I will be done with the swelling very soon most likely, and then I'll no longer have to elevate my leg three times a day. So I'll be able to fully get back on track then.

Also, the miserable, wet, and cold Northeast Nevada weather lies the source of an unexpected guest in my apartment.

Earlier today I hear very loud meowing outside my door. At first I though it might be my neighbor's cat Smokey. As he frequently walks past my apartment and is very vocal when he sees me at times. Well, when I opened my door it wasn't Smokey, it was a wet, dirty, fluffy black and white cat.

I let the cat inside and dried it off as best I could and it has been here for a while now. I called my local animal shelter, but they were no help and animal control won't be back on the job until Monday. Moreover I don't have a car, so I couldn't bring the cat to the shelter myself.

So far the cat's behavior makes me think it's domestic and not a stray. So I went to my said same neighbor that has the cat I mentioned earlier and asked for some thing to help look after the cat until more can be done for it.

I have some cat food and made an improvised litter box for the time being. Hopefully, this cat does belong to someone and we can get kitty home as soon as possible. Failing that, I'll try to get the cat to the shelter come Monday.

That's all for now, Bryan Luna.

Update: The cat wanted to be let out and I can only presume that it is on its way home.

Sweet googly-moogly dude, share the secret!

Chicken, salad, and not being idle all the time. :rainbowlaugh:

Honestly, movement is a big part of it. Also, I now have an exercise bike. That's helped a lot too.
