I'm not sure what is going on in this profile pic, but here's to hoping the red dwarf there energizes their editing skills.
To my surprise, when I checked my messages this morning, someone had come along to answer my need for an editor. Honestly, I was kinda shocked. It's been a while since I wrote Forbidden Melodies, which is my current one-hit-wonder story on the site. I wasn't sure anyone would be interested unless this somehow showed up in the popular or featured tab. Hopefully, with their help, this can reach anyone still interested in the AU I found myself writing in.
I mean, in our exchanges, they've shortened their name to AP. Might as well trust that the correlating Associate Press acronym isn't editing pyrite. He's already helped clean up the 1st chapter, and I am grateful already for just that!
In related news, Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 are locked and loaded and I've already started on Chapter 7. I refuse to add any (unedited) tags to the chapter names though, so reader beware if they've only passed my eyes. I find the call out not only distracting to the reader, but rude to the editors who volunteering their time and don't need me to publicly announce to pressure them. If I press the "Publish" button before it's ready, its on me.
Anyway, I'm excited and nervous as usual. Excited because AP can be a great help to my speed in writing this since it takes me so long to reread over and over while still missing a bunch of errors. Nervous because writing a story like this when you've never even had a crush in your life makes you constantly second guess yourself when trying to write a love story. This moment might explain if you swap out weed for romance:
