First Draft Complete

I have completed the entire first draft of The Runaway Bodyguard. It is 180,000 words long. I had planned for a novel half that length, but the best characters take over and only a fool decides not to listen and write down what they have to say. Starlight’s now given me her ending. This story will eventually be marked complete.

At this moment, the early section of part three of the story is fully proofread. I should be able to keep to a publication schedule. The rest of part three will be proofed over the next few weeks. While I still have to nail down minor aspects of the depiction of “Equestria’s greatest criminal mind”—who is essentially a force of nature in part four—her story and her devastating impact of Starlight Glimmer’s life and future is now fully written. The scene in the cover art turns out not to be entirely accurate. I didn’t know what part of Hooflyn that would take place in at the time I commissioned Pony Way to draw it. It is very close if you ignore the building and the stop sign.
