Next chapter draft completed: August 19th · 2:12pm Aug 19th, 2021
As the title says, I have finished the draft of the next chapter.
It is nearly midnight and I only just finished it but I will need some sleep before I can give it a proper edit. So, expect it some time in the next 24 hours.
Good news is that a little extra load on my part has been lifted as my parents have passed all requirements COVID testing wise since returning from the trip allowing them more freedoms. They are also fully vaccinated so I can feel a little relief in that department as well.
Sombre news, the dog who was discovered to have cancer is having good and bad spells. Sadly, it looks like it is already affecting her. Giving her all the best love and care. Her partner in crime (our other dog) is also giving her much care and love. She is clearly not ready by how happy and energetic she is during the good spells. Like other dogs we have had in the past, she will let us know in her own way when she is ready.

Glad to hear about the progress with your chapter and the freedom of your parents. As for the dog . . . enjoy what time you have remaining together. If you do, the dog will someday pass on remembering you fondly, too, and grateful for every second she spent with you.
But it sounds like you're already doing that, so my only real advice is to keep it up.
