Just making this to let you guys know that this isn't a red flag! I am alive, rating to write, and am in no way suffering from anything that would hinder my ability to do so...
It's just that my internet has been dead for the past week! Trust me, I'm as hungry for Unique Properties as everyone else, but unless I get lucky, my internet won't be back up until the 20th at the earliest. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, and wanted you all to know this wasn't another "Shadestyle disappears for two years randomly" situation! I'll be back to writing as soon as I am physically able, (had to use someone's phone to post this)
Happens to the best of us, heres hopeing they fix it quickly
Given I was certain the story was dead from an earlier blog post, as most people who are burnt out on a story don't continue it, I am merely happy you continued it.

Yeah, this story for me is something I have no choice but to finish. I want to finish Unique Properties, because as my first fanfic I ever started, it deserves to also be the first project I've seen through to it's completion. I want to prove that I can complete something I've started, and this will be my crucible, to see if I can really achieve that goal.

And you are probably already aware of this, but be mindful not to burn yourself to severely trying to finish it.

I've taken on an entirely new outlook on writing specifically to avoid that. I don't know what let me come back to writing for this, but my old motto used to be "cut corners". I believed that people couldn't tell the difference between five hours of work and five minutes, and I still do, but I have a new motto, to ensure that instead of maximizing how much I write, I put in the least effort possible. My new motto is this, "Start late, Quit early.". What that means is that lately, I've been making sure to write every single day, but never as much as I can. Sometimes as few as 300 words, or once, even just one sentence. I start writing late (even if it's just minutes before bedtime) and I quit early (even if I feel like I can write more easily, I explicitly stop before I feel like I'm finished for a writing session.)
This motto is intended to let me finish out the last of this story, and let me tell you, we ARE nearing the end. Spoiler warning that many of you have probably already guessed by now:
Once the final Weapon of Light finds it's new Warrior of Light, it will mark the story's final arc.
I'm so close to finishing the ultimate plot I had planned for this fic, the scene I had written since chapter one, just waiting to be used once and for all.

Whatever the reasons that you do not post are your business. We true fans will wait without complaint and be grateful for what are able to digest when are able to do so. Many will say this the whipped dog approach, but in truth it is that of a patient person. I feel for you all that can craft such worlds with these characters, so wonderful that if we the readers are not regularly updated with chapters we bristle with offense. I hope you have been able to see this a reason for pride, but do not allow the demands we make give you undo stress. Create what you can when you are able and leave any such remarks that hound you to go faster or demands in your wake. I will commend you in keeping the fans updated but make it a bi-weekly or monthly event. This keeps us in know and gives us something to look forward to and does add pressure to your creative process. Avoid burnout, and simply create at your pace, we the readers and you the author will be all the better for it.
