Well, Myths and Birthrights was released on Monday, and I can't believe the reception it has received. Over 400 Thumbs Up, nearly 1000 Favourites, and only 10 Haters. And it's only Wednesday morning! That's just mind boggling for me. Likewise, Longest Night has seen a huge up-tick in views, favs, and thumbs, finally breaking the 600 Thumbs Up mark. Just incredible. I can't express enough my thanks and appreciation to all of you who have read either story, especially those who have made comments.

This has just been an incredible week for me. Good news from the doctors about my Grans condition and she is doing a lot better and is back home. Myths and Birthrights' reception. The art Ruhje created for the story. The Rule of Three has been good to me this week.

Chapter 4 is coming along again after a stumble yesterday that saw me deleting over 2.5k words and going back to square one. I'm really glad I did, however, as it was just bad. Zoidberg shouting at me bad. The 'new' chapter 4 is leaps and bounds better and I am really pleased with how it is progressing. I'm hoping to have it to my editors 'soon'.

I have 5k words of fanfic stored on my drive where it will never leave. I realized that while not irredeemable, if I worked hard the fanfic had the potential to aspire to the grand heights of mediocrity.

I actually found out about the fic when I saw the associated commission on DA and again on Reddit. Had to check it out, and so very glad I did. I have my fair share of comments (both good and bad) but I will withhold until after chapter 4. I want to see if you address some of my thoughts, first. your stories have earned their huge fan base. and to be frank; i don't think anyone in this fandom has ever released something that's technically in the middle of another story which had yet to be released at the time (longest night vs. birthrights), i think you might be the very first one.

Yeah, the release of Longest Night is rather weird for that reason. Those that have read Longest Night first I hope noticed the allusions Celestia was making towards the events that happened in the story that I placed in Chapter one of Myths.
That was tricky to get just right where I felt they would be noticed but weren't blunt force trauma inducing obvious. 
It's also to show (again, for those who read Longest Night) how Time works in the setting. It's similar to the time travel episode from season 2, actually.
