Better news, everyone. · 1:40am Jun 2nd, 2021
I'm pleased to say that work is continuing to progress on Chapter Four for Tales from a Double Date. By some miracle, I've gotten past two of the biggest hurdles I've had to deal with - my unwanted housemate appears to have finally accepted that I have issue with the living room television being on all day and is opting instead to use the television in her bedroom (yay on multiple fronts!), and I managed to come up with a good name for an antagonist in the final half of the story.
Folks might remember my desire to avoid demonizing the military? Well, I don't intend to portray the Equestrian Royal Guard as pure angels either. The show's presented them as (mostly) incompetent, and I've thus far tried to show them as competent and benevolent. But I'll be the last person to say that a soldier will always be a good guy, and the character that I'm bringing in? He's meant to demonstrate some of the worst that a soldier can do.
No gore, I promise, but don't expect to like this guy once everything's said and done.
Hey, awesome to hear that you've made progress! (Especially in regard to dealing with the housemate. )
All right, thanks for the heads-up. I'll be (morbidly XD) curious to see what this guy is gonna bring to the scene then...
Now that IS good news!
I do wonder about the up-coming antagonist, my guess is its a high-ranking one but I might be wrong on that. Could be a lower ranking soldier with money and connections.
We'll see. I am guessing that since the story so far is done with flashback that Flash and Sunny have already dealt with it or so.

I'm going to remain mum about the antagonist for now, but once you read the character's name, you'll likely peg them right away.
