Is Dream Date Getting a Sequel? · 11:47pm Apr 25th, 2021
So this has probably been a question that some of you have been asking, which is will Dream Date get a sequel. In the past I have answered yes and... the answer is still yes. However, I thought I should explain why it's taken so long.
I had actually started writing the sequel, Dream Vacation, a little over a year ago before the rise of the dreaded virus we now call, the Rona.
Now I know not everyone likes politics (I certainly don't), and while I think the few bits I mention are probably fine and shouldn't be too annoying/offensive, I have applied the spoiler tag to them, so that you don't have to read them if you don't want to.
When the virus started showing up, I had thought that the whole thing was being blown out of proportion, mostly by politicians who intended to use it for their own political gains... So I decided to use the disease (or something like it) as a part of the premise with our beloved teacher/reader character being locked up in the house due to isolation (that and I was ticked off that I had to cancel my trip to Hawaii due to the pandemic).
That was before I lost my job due to a massive layoff (because apparently people don't like to ride airplanes when there is a pandemic going around), I was discouraged and sort of... forgot about the story. 
Now I have returned to this tale and have decided to make some changes. While I still believe that there are plenty of politicians taking advantage of the pandemic to push forth their political agendas instead of serving their citizens, I no longer have any desire to promote this disease in my works. 
So I had to go back and massively edit a decent chunk of the story to remove this aspect that I had originally intended to use and honestly...
I think it's better because of it.
Because of this, I had to come up with more material that not only expanded upon the setting but also sets things up for some future sequels I have in mind.
That's right, I said sequels. 
The fact is that I've had a few story ideas in mind for you guys and Silken Soul, all of which share a similar naming convention: Dream Realm, Dream House, Dream Wedding, etc... I've also considered the idea of doing a flipped story where the reader is a mare and it has her working with a genderswapped, incubus version of Silken Soul (I'm not too sure I'll do it, but I figured I would mention it and see what you all think).
So yes, there is a sequel in the works. Dream Vacation is underway (after I finished rewriting the scenes that I felt needed to be changed) and I will probably be asking questions in my Question Of the Week blog posts, that will pertain either to Dream Vacation or any of the following sequels. So feel free to stop by and give an answer to those questions... please.

I'm pretty sure 99% of people will agree that most politicians are either scummy or do scummy things occasionally. I don't see how that's controversial. I look forward to those sequels.

Any thoughts I had toward the political aspects of COVID got put on the back burner when I read this fellow bronie and author’s blog posts.
In others news, looking forward to sequels! Curious to find out if they will continue to be PG rated.
