The Angels of Seattle Have Visited Me... · 5:15pm Mar 28th, 2021

I've been following Seattle's Angels for quite a few years now, as far back as 2014 when I first hopped onto this site. While they've not posted as frequently as the used to (a common situation nowadays with the slowing down of the fandom), I've always been happy to see the new stories they've recommended in their posts.

And guess which story they decided to feature in their latest update?

EThe Show Must Go On
Trixie and Octavia must work together to put on a holiday show. Too bad only one of them wants to do it.

That's right, Jinglemas apparently isn't over, because RTStephens and FloydienSlip decided to chime in on this story. I was earnestly touched by their comments, as they basically said they thought the story could work as an episode in the show with a few minor tweaks. They also praised the uniqueness of the Trixie/Octavia pairing, which is a relief considering how hard I worked to make their interactions feel genuine.

I won't lie, I'm really happy that I managed to get on Seattle's Angels in some form. Way back in my early days, I always wanted to be featured on either Seattle's Angels or the Royal Canterlot Library. While the latter has pretty much gone under, knowing I was able to (however briefly) catch the attention of SA makes me feel all the more vindicated. The fact it happened with what I feel was one of my stronger stories makes it all the more sweeter.

Please check out the rest of the blog, as it features a lot of other really cool fics that need some love. And be sure to follow Seattle's Angels if you want to find a few more underviewed gems.

Congrats. I haven't gotten around to reading all of the jinglemas stories yet but this one is now on my shortlist.

As another one of the Seattle's Angels' ranks, I appreciate the kind words about the group. Glad you made it!

Thanks! SA has recommended a lot of neat stories to me, so I think my appraisals toward them are more than earned. Everybody who's written a good story on this site deserves to be known, and drawing attention to the little-known stories is quite noble in my mind.

Keep up the good work!
