Mostly I’m just sticking around to see what everyone is up to. I’m working on stories I conceptualized in my blogs before I dropped off the face of the earth.
Y’know, my love for this fandom has definitely gone down since I first joined. I’m also just not interested in writing all that much lately. So you may call this a hiatus or call this me quitting, but I not gonna be very active on here anymore.
Can I say that I’ll come back fully in the future? Nope. Can I say that I’ll still post and drop new fics/chapters when I feel like it? Probably.
I think I’ve mentioned this in the past, but I have an extremely hard time watching movies/shows on my own in their entirety. It’s just not something I can accomplish on my own. This is a problem, since I’m stuck on episode 5 (I think?) of the first season, and I’ve been putting off watching it.
I think it works for the story you're telling. I mean, Pharynx needs something to do, and him being huddled in the corner while his dorky kid brother makes friends feels pretty fitting for the two, especially as little nymphs.
Well, he didn't really get enough characterization in the show to say either way. He was pretty critical of craft time in that one episode he appeared in, but in that particular moment a lot of his actual personality might have been covered by the unwillingness to accept Thorax's ways. I can certainly see Pharynx having some interests besides war and combat that just did not come up. Plus, if it makes sense in the AU and is good for the story, it's not a terrible thing if it deviates from canon.
Well, the advantage to certain characters NOT getting a lot of canon character is that we can use our own judgement for the most part and fill in the blanks ourselves. And, it's an alternate universe story anyway, right? So, if you have it in your head that Pharynx is the artistic one, that's more than fair enough. This is your work, so you have the final say in characterization if somebody hasn't had much canon character. What's important is that YOU are satisfied.
To be honest there's not a lot of character on him, so expanding out of that canon it's not so much as going out of character as like, making him a character
He likes to make art.

Is...is that a reference I’m not getting?
He was not descripted enough in the show, so I think you're good to go.
I, personally, like your version of Pharynx very much.

Sun Tzu's Art of War, the most famous book there is on conflict and how to wage it successfully

Then it's a good thing I was talking about popularity and not quality.
