For anyone who's been tracking it and waiting for it to finish, the last chapter has just been posted. Thanks to everyone who read the fic, and I hope you enjoyed this fic as much as I enjoyed writing it!
To stave off the inevitable questions, I don't have any plans for a sequel at this time. The story I wanted to tell was always about the personal struggles of three people trying to find hope in a world that seemed bereft of it, and I've told that story now. Any possible sequel would be pure political intrigue about reforming the justice system and boy, am I not qualified to write something like that.
Anyways, for my next projects, I've got a couple Speedwrite fics that I plan on cleaning up and publishing over the next couple months. I probably won't commit to another multi-chapter fic until either Camp NaNo in July or NaNo in November, but I am picking away at a few longer projects in hopes that I hit a stride with one of them, so we'll see how that goes. Right now, I'm trying to get the next chapters of Red Strings, White Chains finished so that I can update that fic soon, and planning out what I want to do with Tales of the Sapphire Carousel, which will likely have to wait until Crimson Lips updates so that I have a better sense of how I want to pace my own fic.
