A thank you, to all of you and to RarityEQM · 3:09am Jan 24th, 2021
Hello, everypony. This post is a bit overdue but I hope you'll all forgive it's tardiness. For me and many others, it has been a difficult week, almost two, since hearing of RarityEQM's passing. Still, I know she would admonish me for not giving my thanks to each and every one who offered condolences and kind words to me. Every word helped me remember how caring and compassionate the people in our fandom truly are, and all were greatly appreciated. From the deepest part of my heart, thank you.
I want to say thank you to Rarity as well. She was a true friend. Though we did not ever meet in person, I came to know the wonderful Lady she was, and always will be. She was a talented writer (and if any of you haven't read her stories, you really should!), and a caring friend who inspired me to be a better, more caring person and to give more of myself to helping others.
And she gave me an honor I will always treasure as much as I do her...she called me her big brother. On that day, I gained a caring and devoted little sister. I was just as devoted and caring of her, as well.
She cared deeply for people and always saw the good in anyone she met or talked to, even if she disagreed with them at times. It was her nature, her Element to give selflessly, which she did so often.
Thank you, Rarity. I will miss you each and every day and I will treasure everything we shared. I'm so very glad you were and are a part of my life.
Please thank Rarity in the way she would have appreciated most: by giving to each other what and where we can. A kind word gives someone a smile. Smiles spread and people are happy. Happy people are kind to one another. And the world always needs kind and giving people.
That is what Rarity was best at and is still doing. Giving generously to each of so that we cn give as well.
Thank all of you. Blessed be.
I agree with all of this.
Oh geez, Olden, I must have missed something somewhere. I had no idea you two were so close, nor did I find out when it seems that so many others did. I'm so sorry.
I'm certainly going to miss her, too. She was always a joy. I hope it helps you knowing that someone you care so much for (and who cares for you) has left such a profound impact on the community.
If ever you need someone to talk to, you have plenty of people to turn to, myself included, so don't hesitate to reach out.
This is a very touching post. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad that you got the chance to know her. And that your relationship was something so special.
Those we keep in our hearts are never truly gone. Though I'm very sorry for your loss. I've read quite a few of her works and enjoyed every word. I will miss her posts and stories. Please take care of yourself.
Blessed be
Thank you, and blessed be to you, in return.
