Been thinking about my ponysona, and I'm not one for self insert with myself, so I've chosen to give this guy another name. King Dane.
So he is different from me, DanishDash, but I still wanna use him in future stories.
Have three in mind, though only one will be canon. Another will be a collaboration between me and Mornings Dew, which will be with two of our characters meeting. The last one is just a joke story.
Dane is in love with the princesses (Celestia & Luna), and he wants to be with them so he won't be alone. All three stories will deal with that, one is canon, the second the collaboration, and the third a simple comedy.

Biggest regret: Never had a chance to say goodbye to his family.
Background:
Born in the third age of Equestria, Dane was born into a minor noble family, a title only held by the family's long service in the military. Dane was born a Pegasus, and from an early age he liked to fly fast, high, and daring. His father was strict, but fair, making sure to channel Dane's energy into his preparation for officers training. Already as a foal, Dane showed understanding for logistics, and the art of strategy, which served him well later on in life when he started at the Royal Academy.
While being bright, he was a wild colt, and he did get into trouble a fair amount of times during his time at the academy. Still, he never shirked the responsibility, always took whatever punishment he got without any complaints. His professors were both impressed, and infuriated by the young stallion. If his grades were not so high, he would have probably been expelled, especially after the incident foam bomb in the dorm.
Dane graduated with high marks, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the army. Quickly he made a name for himself during the second Prancian war, as a daring officer, with a talent for overcoming seemingly risky odds. After two years he was promoted to first lieutenant, and a year after to captain. Becoming the youngest officer to ever reach that rank.
After the war, an expedition was suggested to explore the far north. The sea up there is traitorous, so no one has been able to pass so far. How exactly Dane got to be in command of this expedition, nopony can tell for sure. Historians will always wonder if some jealous officer had placed him there, in order to stop his rapid advancement, but it can't be confirmed.
Setting off with a fleet of four ships, Dane sailed to the far north, and reached the high northern sea. How it happened nopony knows, but like so many others, their ships were trapped in the merciless waters, almost crushed by the intense waves. To Equestria, it seemed the expedition was lost, along with over 1000 stallions and mares.
This was not the end however, Dane managed to cross the sea with his fleet, and bring them to a whole new land, still untamed and unsettled. Here he would set up a town, and with some of the greatest minds with his expedition, they devoted themselves to their studies, advancing them quite a lot, inventing things like the telegraph, muskets, and modern artillery.
With no way back home, Dane devoted himself to protect and take care of the ponies under his command. He would serve them to the end, which was how he ascended. It took years to perfect his magic, but finally, he was strong enough to tame the greatest seas, and so could finally return home. A thousand years has passed, his town has grown into a nation in its own right.
Now he returns in the hopes of not being alone anymore, to marry his princesses.

Also i am glad you did not use king Dane from fall of Equestria as your character, because i hate that series and the Dane from that ark with passion. Not only for what he did to the ponys of Equestria in the story ark but his lack of remorse as well for his crime. Which if it happen in this world,(god forbid), then Nato and the rest of world will descend upon him with all the Hobbs of hell behind them. 👿
