New Firefly chapter draft complete, but...

I still need to do the graphics, find some suitable music, and do my customary two editing passes by listening to the chapter recited back to me using the site's narration function, of which I find the mobile version far more quick and tolerable. We will aim for a Saturday or Sunday release, and for those curious, the chapter has reached upwards of 11,000 words.

I would also like to give a warm welcome to all incoming readers who signed on to see me finish Demon Eyes Laharl's Feathered Heart, which, for those of you unaware, was one of the main inspirations for the griffons in this story. I'm shamelessly using DEL's griffon lore, including their societal and military structures for Firefly.

In fact Feathered Heart actually referenced the fact that there was a great war between ponies and griffons in the past. To make a long story short, the Firefly series describes that war. So for those of you awaiting Feathered Heart, which I will be starting into in the New Year, you are invited to check out my Firefly series. It'll hopefully both satisfy your craving for epic war stories as well as give you some sense of the writing abilities I'll be bringing to bear on DEL's military thriller masterpiece.

It just so happens that it's also canon to The Lawyer & The Unicorn, if I'm not misremembering that I saw it in there somewhere.

Whelp, this is one of those rare posts where I see multiple stories I am quite interested teased. I look forward to see what comes of the revival of Feathered Heart and of course more chapters of Into the Storm.

Also, are you going to be posting new chapters for Feathered Heart on your profile, or did the admins give you access to the original? I'm just curious how it works to take over an abandoned story.
