Life is going well for Darkstar. She's part of a loving family, she's about to begin college, and her relationship with her boyfriend Slate is stronger than ever.

However, a family still shattered and a hereditary disease threaten to shatter this fragile peace. Can Darkstar hold herself together long enough to enjoy her new life, or will she drown in a whirlpool of deteriorating mental health?
