Please Bear with Me on the last Stella Chapter + light-hearted AMA · 5:37am Oct 13th, 2020
Will be a little bit longer 'til release--and I'll post another blog as to when it's done and hits the editing stage.
Scrapped three different versions of a few thousand words each because they lacked the... magic I was looking for, even while unedited. Just wanted to reassure I'm not dead.

Take your time, bud. For my AMA contribution, How is it that you write such amazing chemistry between your characters? It's something I've always struggled with, and quite frankly, the level of character interaction and the electric nature of the dialogue that you bring to the table is something I aspire to. Is there a model you adhere to with your approach? Or is it something more intangible?

Well firstly, thank youuuu! Secondly, sort of. The 'intangibility' is just experience. As for a model, yes but no. I try to emulate placing myself in the character's shoes and think about how I would converse naturally. This helps me avoid anime-level dialogue (for the most part). Another part is just taking some risks in dialogue choice or how the character operates, and seeing what sticks, but always making sure that said dialogue adheres in some way to established personalities, and plays off of other characters' established personalities
