52 Project is still going · 1:35pm Aug 15th, 2020
And going, and going... I'm up to story 20 now.
Since my last update, I've done:
- "Norris and the Plague Doctors", a novella about a kid in a zombie apocalypse which is thematically more hopeful than most zombie stories (and also has people dressed as plague doctors who are trying to find a cure)
- "Therapy", about a vampire whose vampire-father (White Wolf calls this "Sire") is a narcissistic bag of dicks
- "Thirteen", which is the origin story of Meg Santoro, the supervillain protagonist of my novel "The Cold At the Heart of the Light", and is very dark, featuring themes of child sexual abuse, prostitution, drug abuse, and murder
- and also two stories based on songs and one based on Sandman, kinda.
I publish in a zillion places now, but the most up-to-date will always be my writing Tumblr, which I update every Friday with a new story (except the one time it had to be a Saturday because I was traveling.)
But I guess you want to know about pony fic! Well, I almost have the second chapter of "Elements of Magic" complete, and then I plan on moving on to the next thing, which I was originally hoping would be "Love, Friendship and Chaos" but now I'm thinking it might have to be "Not The Hero" because that one isn't supposed to have year-long hiatuses.
Definitely won't complain about a Not the Hero update.
I enjoyed “Therapy” and the creative solution (and hints at the larger universe), especially as a World of Darkness player. The “Crab People” one was awesome! As a Marylander, I could see where the story was going pretty early on, but I was on board for the ride!
Keep it up!
