    Post-Pony Thoughts and Saying Goodbye

Hello followers, it's been a while since I've logged onto this website. I honestly don't think much about FimFiction or ponies in general anymore. I'll start off this (final?) blog by saying that I'm no longer a 'brony'. Ponies don't interest me at all anymore.

But here I am, back to where I started.

The next time that never came

    Hello my readers and followers!

If you're still following me and or my work, I'd like to let you know where I've been since my last update... I explained my situation quite thoroughly in my last blog, but I want to update you all on my absence.

I visited the site today because I was reflecting on Rising Dawn, and comparing it to the novel I'm writing right now. I learned a lot from writing Rising Dawn, and I must admit, it is something I really, really want to forget about now. Still, as troubled as that story was, it got me to where I am today.

It boggles my mind, knowing that the eight chapters I've written for my novel so far are as long as one and a half chapters of Rising Dawn. I suppose I've gotten a grip on pacing and story development, something that Rising Dawn really struggled with.

One thing a friend of mine told me, is that when I was writing Rising Dawn, I was trying to be like Kkat - to write the next great Fallout: Equestria. That was stupid, and foolish of me, because it couldn't be done. FO:E, as much as I loved its setting, kept me in a box - there was nowhere to grow if I kept writing about it. I think putting Rising Dawn on a hiatus was the best thing to ever happen to my writing, because it let me create something so much better than fanfiction.

With that said, my writing style has changed so much over the years... and I think it's time to put Rising Dawnto rest.

Therefore, I'm going to change Rising Dawn's status to Cancelled.

If I were to continue writing Rising Dawn, the transition from my old chapters to my new chapters would be so jarring that it'd feel like a completely different person was writing it. If I ever wanted to write ponies again, I'd need to delete Rising Dawn and rewrite the entire thing from the ground up.

But that's never going to happen.

To those of you that were somehow still following the story, or just found it, I give my heartfelt apologies. Rising Dawn was really special to me, and it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I need to move on. I need to put it to rest. I appreciate all the kindness and help everyone in this community gave me when I started off on this website, and I won't forget that. I hope I was able to give back some of that support before I left, and I think I succeeded, seeing as my Survival Guide is still up in the FO:E forums.

This will likely be my last blog.

Thank you for reading.

That's sad but I completely understand! I'll Always be a fan of your story! Maybe one day I'll be able to read something else you've written! So I'll always keep an eye out!
