Don't deny it... you all have them as much as I do... a character you think is pretty/handsome, or is like you in many ways and that you can ACTUALLY relate to, and would be your ideal match.
Well I have them too, but before I go any further, I should point out...
It's okay to have them, it's not like it's a bad thing or a crime... provided you have a firm grip on the REALITY of things.
-They are not real
-You cannot have a real relationship with them
-Try not to overobsess.
...I basically refer to that guy who supposedly MARRIED his Twilight Sparkle Plushie and had KIDS with it (Now that's a nutjob)
Moving on...
Cartoon Crushes can be very inspiring, they help you develop a sense of passion, gentle soul, and even inflame passion for art and can help you in the field of drawing and writing a little.
And that's exactly what I use my CC's for...
they enflame my passion and inspiration to write, and draw, and even sing or make up songs.
And sometimes, just like most people do, I write up avatars of myself, or characters I create that I would just voice (Nothing more) and they do get together with them. Nothing wrong with that either.
And don't even think about calling me a pedo because of the age thing... I AM ME... the avatars are NOT me. they always written to be the same age as the crush, so there is no sickoness.
Plus, in real life, I'm not really interested in romance, and I'm even doing everything in my power to fight the natural biological urges.
No, I was never dumped and became this way to resent love, I've resented it since I was little (I was one of those boys who thought it was icky, and just like most boys I swore I would never like a girl that way, never fall in love, marry, yayayaya... and unlike most men, I managed to stick it. And I call those guys who caved in WEAKLINGS, who are now stuck with all those responsibilities, headaches, and doing things I think are repulsive.)
-I've never had a date in my life
-No first kiss
The closest I've ever done is playful flirting with the voice actresses I meet, just to be a gentlemen, I know it and they know it.
(You should've seen me when I met LUCY LAWLESS... she was fun)
So there... real life romance to me is not worth it, and I don't need it. (You can live life single) I'm living it single and I couldn't' be happier or prouder.
-Fewer responsibilities
-Less expenses
-Not many worries
-No one breathing down my back (At least in that manner)
-More ME time
-Don't have to do many things I hate!

My avatars may DO IT with their matches, but it's all in play fun, nothing serious in my real life.

-Millerna Aston (Vision of Escaflowne) No match, and cannot be done
-Sabrina the Saffron Gym Leader (Pokemon) She has a match, but in another way. (I dubbed her for my Totally Spies Yugioh series)
-Raven (Teen Titans OG) She has a match but his name is not Mykan, her match is Copione/Copycat, my own hero. That was long ago, in real life I dumped Raven for seeing her true colors (She's a bitch)
-Amelie (6teen) She has a match. True she was a one-time character for one ep, but when I made my 7teen series she was changed to a regular recurring character and is matches with my character there.
-Misery (Ruby gloom) No match
-Trudy (SCOOBY DOO... Camp Scare) No match... but she is definitely in the top 3 (Yes, she is voiced by Tara Strong, but the voice has nothing to do with it, it's her personality I liked)
-Kikyo (Inuyasha) She had a match, but his name is not Mykan (And I'm aware of what happened to her, so I altered it)
And finally... There is Princess Celestia (Annoyed Sigh)
I can't help it, she's so beautiful, her voice is melodic and pleasant, and she tries to see good in everything. Why she's even a little funny, and fun-loving too

Celestia is an unwanted crushed, like a Super Psycho Girlfriend who follows you around and obsesses over you.
IE:
I don't want to have a crush on her, but I can't get her off my back...
...Makes a cute story idea, just like I said it does.
Again, they're only used for inspiration and to inflame art passions, and that's healthy enough. It doesn't matter if I have insomnia because I have so many ideas for stories flooding in my head that I can't sleep. (Price to pay)
This is the way I treat it and use it (Just like others do) and this is the way I will continue to treat and use it.
So, while I don't want to have a crush on Celestia (It's not proper since I'm anti-brony) but in the end of the day...
"I've grown accustomed to her face."
So, don't be embarrassed all that much if you have a cartoon crush. Many people do, and some aren't ashamed to share.
Just have that firm grip of reality, and do harmless things with it like I do. (Don't end up like that Twilight Plushy guy)

i also enjoy celestia, especially when shes explaining some lore to twilight or even laughs or gets excited, showing that even the highest of nobility CAN have a bit of humanity within them
especially how she can just brush off twilights blowing-everything-out-of-proportion-again just like that

i take issues with the way she handles situations sometimes, but in the end, i like her mainly for her ridiculous optimism, shes cute, shes smart, shes like a labrador, shes never knew what she was going to do and, in the most polite sense, was dragged along for the ride. but she just enjoys it all, and she's so forgiving, (she represents everything people want to see more of in the real world, hope for a better day) like in a canterlot wedding
if you ask why she instantly forgave all of them for doing what they did at rehearsal shell probably tell
twilight:i could hate them forever, i could punish them, i could even kill them. but what would be the point, id still be miserable and still have no friends, or real family.(not to mention the fact that part of it was the way she delivered the news) because that was the whole point of friendship lessons, every time i wrote, my friends and i got a little bit better at representing our elements, and in so, improved our friendship. and after everything weve been through, i think its fair to say were unbreakable!
