How to make a great, well-written, and fan-favorite OC? · 9:32pm Jul 28th, 2020
Hey there, everyone. I know I keep doing this a lot and I'm sorry if it's getting annoying, but I've created an OC named Odium and I've got some negative feedback about both him and his story, The Rise of Odium, that I'm working on. The negative feedback is only here in Fimfiction and I need some advice on how to make him a better OC for my story. He doesn't have to be perfect, but he can be very great. Sorry if I'm bragging or being unhealthily obsessed with him, but I just need some advice so that I can make him that way on my own. I'm not saying that he has to be the best OC ever, because that would be very arrogant and unfair of me to say that. Again, sorry if I am being arrogant or obsessed with him. Thank you and have a great day.
Here the thing. You CAN't intentionally make any character a fan favorite on purpose. Fans will make up their own minds if they like your character or not.
Odium screams you're trying to make people like him right from the start when there is literally nothing about him that says we should. Or even try to see the world from his viewpoint.
