Man, what a weekend, huh?
The world is ... still on fire. But marginally less on fire? Maybe? Mff.
So yeah. On my end, things are mostly okay-ish, and I'm lucky for it. Been playing The Swindle and Curse of the Moon 2, as I had a gift card, and they were cheap. And, well ... they're both FUN games, but they're ... kind of stressful? Or at least they're both fairly unforgiving. Which can be interesting but at the same time they're not quite as long-term zone-out relaxing as I'm kinda craving these days. Which, well, is an entirely minor thing to worry about. Maybe I'll get back to playing Horizon: Zero Dawn at some point? Time will tell.
Or, y'know, I could actually WRITE something, but where's the fun in that? And, well, I'm not quite STUCK on my current (and terribly unfinished) project, I'm just at that phase of things where I'm considering switching to a DIFFERENT project, as the current thing I'm working on is in one of those transitory stages where I'm not 100 percent sure which direction to take it next. Hm. And, y'know, it's kinda hard to write these days when it feels like there won't be anybody to read it on account of Skynet awakening sometime around December or something.
And so, perhaps as a bit of a palate cleanser, what if I did a fanfic? Instant gratification, there! It's just, well, I don't have any particular fanfic ideas leaping out at me. I mean, I have some vague concepts in mind. Like, I've been watching some pretty chill hiking/backpacking videos on Youtube (on account of the fact that I can't really, y'know, go anywhere at the moment) and, I dunno, maybe some kind of EQG "girls go camping" sort of thing? Which honestly would likely devolve into Rarijack bickering/flirting hijinks before long, but that's a feature, not a bug.
Or, speaking of Rarijack, I could have a go at a sequel to En Garde! I mean, that'un's fairly easy, in that you just have Rarity be witty and fabulous and fight everyone with a sword. And also bicker/flirt with Applejack, 'cause I got a rep to uphold.
Or maybe something with actual ponies? People seem to like those. Which .... hmm, I've got a couple of vaguely satircal ideas I could run with, I'm just not 100 percent sure of 'em just yet. Or, y'know, I could be all literary and maybe get around to writing Sentry's Last Stand, but it's been awhile since I've watched the last season (is it on Netflix yet?) and ... well, that's honestly gonna be more of a project than I'm in the mood for at the moment. Hm.
Or heck, what do YOU want to see? Any particular characters you'd like to see me write about? Any particular stories that could do with a sequel? I make no promises as to if I'll write 'em or not (not like I take commissions. How gauche.) But if we're lucky, maybe I'll get inspired and write some feature-box bait before long!
Or I may just go keep staring at this unfinished project for awhile. Y'know how it goes.
I tend to lean towards EqG, primarily because I adore Sunset Shimmer, but she can hop around.
A sequel to En garde would be nice. And I know how it is being indecisive. Right now I'm writing a fanfic based off of a Bangles music video. Well, starting it.
Oh, that's simple. Flash Sentry, of course.
I understand it will happen in it's own time, of course.

I do like me some Rarijack...
I'm always up for your Rarijack, given how it tends to have Sciset in the background. And while sentry's Last Stand would be great to see, I understand that that's more of a project in and of itself than an interproject stress reliever.
