Back in the Saddle, and other horse related idioms

I've got a spring in my step and a fire in my heart! The character forges are hot, and the ideas are flowing swiftly. Soon shall another tale be told!

But first, myself. Who am I, how I've been, and what I'm up to these days:

    It's out

My new Sunburst X Stygian fic is now live!

It might be a bit different from Two Nerds Walk Into a Bookstore, but I'm hoping folks enjoy it nonetheless.

    Beware the Gay Nerds

See, at first this was just gonna be a one-off, but this Sunburst X Stygian ship has been continuing to burn a hole in my brain. I started getting... ideas.

    Update on my fanfictions

Well, truth be told, I haven't worked on the Ink Saga since my last blog post about it. For this reason, I've cancelled it, and the ideas I wanted to put into it will likely be recycled into other stories.

Not all of those stories will be pony-centric.

So where will I post those stories?

"Spilled Ink" Progress Commentary #1 · 3:17am Jul 20th, 2020

It's been about 1 month since I began writing Spilled Ink. So far, there are 4 published chapters with 17,879 words in total. In the time I've been writing, there have been 112 unique views, 7 comments, 5 likes, and 0 dislikes

Honestly, I've surprised myself so far. I'm not a fast writer by any means, so even if I only add a few hundred words per day that's still a win for me.

Writing is something that interests me. Not that fame and fortune junk that some people get all hung up on, expecting that they're writing something on the level of A Song of Ice and Fire, Lord of the Rings, or A Wheel of Time. I enjoy the process of developing a world, of creating characters to populate that world, of plotting the interactions of characters within that world. I like taking something in my mind's eye and describing it, so that hopefully somebody who reads it could imagine something resembling what I'm talking about. I've been doing that, I am currently doing that, and I hope to still be doing that as I move into the rest of my life.

Writing this kind of story on Fimfiction is going to be a slightly different experience than the one I was having before. Instead of writing in a bubble, only turning to others for the occasional input and suggestion, Fimfic is an open forum for others to view and critique my work as it develops. Spilled Ink is still in its early stages, especially considering the scope of what I'd write in an ideal world, but only time will tell how well it turns out.

Are there any thoughts from those of you who cared enough to read this through?
