TV Tropes Page Apple Bloom's Mansion

Someone made a TV Tropes page about the Apple Bloom's Mansion saga.

    Link.

I made quite the number of tropes without knowing, lol.

Subspace Army Tree Before Chapter 168

Here is the tree showing the officers' ranks in the Subspace Army before chapter 168. I advise to read the chapter first before seeing the image.

    "New" Story and New Group

I'm starting to write a new story, or not really. It will actually be a compilation of stories in the universe of UME. Tales From The Omniverse. More than a compilation, this is a group made by Cyrus Colter there. In this group, people will be able to post their Tales happening in UME's universes.

    Sizes Precision

With A Sweetie Dream Land's rewriting, I have changed some sizes.

As of the starts of A Sweetie Dream Land, Kirby was 20cm tall. A Waddle Dee is about 30cm, Dedede, about one meter, Meta Knight, over 30cm (maybe 35cm, not sure yet), and Sweetie Void, about 50cm.

By the time of The Forgotten Land, Kirby is 30cm tall, and Sweetie is about 60cm.

    Rewriting A Sweetie Dreamland

I'm going to start to rewrite A Sweetie Dreamland, essentially to change the verb tenses. I'm also going to change "Dreamland" to "Dream Land", maybe change a few lines here and there, and so on. I don't know how long it will take, but I think that I should be done before the end of February.

Evolution of Thanatos' Castle (Finished) · 2:10pm Jul 4th, 2020

This blog will be to show the evolution of the development of Thanatos' castle, to see how far I am. It will also let you see if there's anything wrong so you can give me advices on how to improve the plans because it's my first time designing a building. I'm using Paint 3D to make the plans (I have nothing better), so it's a rough draft, and I hope you will be able to read the name of the rooms.

Main wing: Done.
West staff wing: Done.
East staff wing: Done.
VIP wing: Done.
Stadium: Done.
Tower prison: Done.
Toy wing: Done.

If anyone wants to test his skill to draw the castle, at least the main wing, from outside...

Note: the two circles at the top, below the stairs leading to the graveyard are pillars supporting the terrace.
The greenhouse won't be made of glass, because there's no need to. There's no sun in the spiritual world after all. Yeah, you can guess what kind of flowers they grow in this place...

That maze killed me... X_X

You finally get to see the emplacement of Thanatos' throne room.

Thanatos Castle Main Wing Fourth Floor:

Not much to do there. Mainly Thanatos' living quarters.

Thanatos Castle Main Wing Fifth Floor and more/Roof:

Let me tell you, one heck of a battle will take place on that roof.

I suppose I could have done the dungeon much bigger, but I didn't want it to be too big.

You know it's gonna be messy when you see a butchery in a horror story, and any brony knows that a bakery is also bad news (coughCupcakecough). As for the red living room... Well... You can guess what the 'red' stands for...

I think it's looking pretty good! Since I've taken Industrial Technology classes before, I understand what the symbols stand for, such as several lines for stairs.

However, I want to know what Bar. Ma. Sho. and Bar. Sta. Sho. stand for. I'm sure Ma. stands for Main and Sta. stands for Staff, though. And what does Com stand for?

Also, why would the castle need barrack chambers?

5300990
Bar. Ma. Sho: Barrack Mare Shower.
Bar. Sta. Sho: Barrack Stallion Shower.
Com: Commander (I didn't have enough place anywhere to place the full word)
And I thought that the barrack chambers would be for the guards, I don't really know how this works in a castle, especially in a castle isolated like Thanatos' one.

5300990
After some researches, I will replace the barrack chambers by guard dormitories (it should be more or less the same stuff).

5301139
The second floor of the main wing is looking good too. It's a bit straightforward, but I guess that's how it's supposed to be.

5301143
Well, it's the central part. As you can see, there's a hallway between the entrance hall and the Great Hall. It will lead to much more places, like the second level of the library (once I decide where I will put it) or the stairs leading to the third floor. And like I said, the Great Hall will have more doors in the sides, I just haven't placed them yet because I don't know yet their exact emplacement. It will depend of the arrangement of the rooms.

5301152
I just had an idea to help you. Figure out how many boss battles you'll need instead of trying to keep it the same number as the rooms. So, how many bosses will you need for this fic?

5301239
Well, there's Thanatos, of course, then the four Main Bosses.
The 6 Founders and Gusty will also be boss fights and I already have an idea of where I will put five of them:
-Clover will be in the Mage Tower
-Hurricane and Pansy will both be fought in the military part of the castle (I'm still not sure where exactly)
-Platinum will be in her own chamber, in an apartment tower in the VIP Wing
-Gusty will be on the roof of a tower
-I have no idea yet for Puddinghead and Smart Cookie
There will also be Sombra and Grogar (without his bell). Applejack and Apple Bloom's parents will also be there.
After, for the exact number of bosses, I have absolutely no idea. There are many ghosts that could be potential bosses.
The cooks
The guards
The smithy
The servants
A gardener
An undertaker
A gravedigger
Musicians
Thanatos' creations
The librarian
The torturers
The scientists
The scientists' experiments
The wraiths
The butlers
An athlete
A showman (or rather, showstallion)
An Ursa Major
A jester
Some nobles in the VIP Wing
A griffon pony hunter
A phoenix possessing a coocoo clock
Whatever psychopaths come to mind
And whatever other random ghosts that Thanatos managed to collect and enslave (teachers, foals, merchants, farmers, designers, and so on)

To put it simply, there can be hundreds of 'bosses', many as weak as normal enemies, and others powerful enough to put up a good fight. And their number will be such that there will be some rooms where the heroines will have to fight many of them at once, like the kitchen with all the cooks. Just... imagine Luigi's Mansion 1, but instead of the 23 portrait ghosts, there will be, like... 500? 1000?

5301278
I'm not asking what bosses you already have planed, I'm asking how many bosses will you need? You don't need a boss for every other room after all.

5301290
I don't know too. The more the better I suppose.

5301292
But you need a cap on the number so you don't burn out.

Well personally, I would advice from reusing similar bosses or other fights that feels familiar from previous stories. I think you might want to try an idea you haven't done and just work your way up. Also, try to have a limit on the amount of bosses you want in your story, make it easier for readers to get an idea of what is to come. Here's to helping out. :raritywink:

5301500
5301539
Well, if I limit the number to only the ghosts that will be challenging, then the total should reach a few dozens. Others will be, at best, mid-bosses, at worst, as weak as common enemies.

Yeah, you can guess what kind of flowers they grow in this place...

Corpse flowers?:rainbowlaugh: Sorry, I couldn't help it.

5301725
Remark, with the greenhouse just beside the graveyard full of zombies, I could do a remake of Plants versus Zombies. :rainbowlaugh:

5301730
Just in case you didn't get the pun, there's this plant species called Amorphophallus titanum. It's nicknamed the corpse flower because its powerful odor smells like a rotting corpse. An appropriate name for a plant that grows in the castle of the god of death, don't you think?:rainbowlaugh:

5301743
I didn't know! :rainbowlaugh: Yeah, seems perfect.
