Wrote, like, three words in June · 9:42pm Jul 3rd, 2020
I'm exaggerating. It was actually 18K, which sounds respectable until you realize it was a third of the recent chapter of No Escape From Yourself, and one other story, and that's it. Work has been brutal this month.
I expect things to be more relaxed in July, so I hopefully will get more written.
The 52 Project is still going, over at my writing Tumblr. Today I posted the story I spent most of June writing, "Angel", and I'm quite happy with it. It's dark, and weird, and takes religion rather more seriously than most of my fiction does.
Anyway. I have to finish another 52 Project story to free myself up to write fanfic again, because I'm in exactly the trap I feared -- I don't have enough time to write, so I'm perpetually scrambling to get a story ready for the project. Hopefully with the four-day weekend (my husband and I own the company. After the month we've had, damn straight we declared a four-day weekend) I'll be able to make some headway.
Good luck. I'm looking forward to any progress you make.

I came to post that exact same thing, word-for-word. Get out of my head!
That line hit like a sledgehammer to the gut. Incredible work throughout. Here's hoping your muse cooperates for the next one.
Well. This was... something. It was definitely something.
Would it mischaracterize things to say that you have a knack for writing stories that leave people with a lingering feeling of unease?

Yeah, I'd say that's probably a thing I do. :-)
Always great to hear from you! Keep it easy, write what you want, and we'll be here. Stay healthy and safe!
I have to say I really liked that short story you wrote about Angels. Why are all your works so...discomforting? Left a lot of questions in my mind.
