How to Catch a Fluttershy - why there wasn't any stakes or a bet involved - reasons explained · 8:30pm Jul 2nd, 2020
There are no bets, no consequences of winning or losing - only fun and companionship.
Nothing is better than having a good laugh with a best friend over a well-played prank. Are we all in agreement?
Fluttershy might not be the best victim for any prank, so a light-hearted one that didn't result in her getting hurt, upset or angry with Rainbow or Dom was an ideal move. I don't know if the 'prank' I put in the story was the best option, but Fluttershy likes tea parties, right? If you've watched Alice in Wonderland (the classic version), then the entire scene I added might make more sense. I wanted to try my hand at Dash as The Mad Hatter, even if the best choice for that portrayal is Pinkie Pie (Nobody think about the mental scars and level of disturbance that image will bring to your mind...😱)
Anywho, that's basically it. Something fun with no stakes involved at all, but rather a light-hearted reference to a classic fairytale cartoon for the sake of a laugh. I'm actually interested to know how you reacted / what your initial thoughts were when you read that scene, so let me know in the comments, if you'd please!
Yeah I liked the story.
In real life, I tend to find pranks mean.
You are essentially playing of someone's misery.
Unless it is something truly harmless.
But things that cause distress aren't funny.

Some pranks can be incredibly hurtful, but that's usually depending on how cruel or how inconsiderate the person doing it might be. I've seen one on YT that was so cruel and bound to bring PTSD to the friend it was played on that I think the guy got banned for life! Deserved it, too. There are limits.
In MLP, pranking Fluttershy is off limits, period. Even a known prankster like Pinkie Pie knows that. She's very sensitive, so it's easy to see why doing that to her is a bad idea. Still, I'm not sure what to call what I wrote in the story a prank or not. Fluttershy was concerned and worried about Rainbow's sanity, but it was all I could think of that fit in with one of her personal hobbies. Other than that, nobody really got hurt. (Except maybe for Dom when he took that hit to the gut, or when Angel kicked Rainbow in the ribs.)
