Alright alright alright... · 1:08pm Jun 20th, 2020
OK, some long overdue explanations are necessary.
First off, how 'bout that Rona, eh?
For those of you who don't know, I live in New Zealand. We basically beat COVID-19, minus two cases of people coming into the country. Honestly, we got lucky that the Prime Minister took the initiative in the lockdown procedures or we would likely be a lot worse off. The country is almost back to working order, and having been back at work the last few weeks is a godsend.
During lockdown, a government subsidy paid out a percentage of our wages while our workplace paid out the rest. Because of this, combined with not working, I was able to save up enough money to actually go buy a new computer! A proper gaming tower at that, too. Oh man, the framerate and graphics are orgasmic.
(Specs below for anyone interested.)
Acer Nitro N50-600
Win10 64-bit
9th gen Intel core i-5 9400
NVIDIA GTX1660 6gb graphics
16gb DDR4 RAM
512gb SSD
Secondly, the story, TEP.
I've recently realised that I haven't been properly handling things. By that I mean there's been a few instances where I've realised if I keep continuing things as they are, the end quality isn't going to turn out as good as I'd hoped. Reading more, watching and reading various non-pony related youtube reviewers and other publishings has put things into a state of flux for me, a perspective that made me realise what I've been doing wrong.
The current chapter I'm sitting on at the moment has almost become the embodiment of what's wrong with the story up to this point, and I'm struggling to find a way to salvage it. It might just be intense frustration from looking at the screen and not being able to write anything. I'm not really sure how to fully describe it. Like things have just been turned upside down and I'm finding a way to clean up the mess. I should really seek outside help at this point.
Fret not, we're close to the ending, about 3-4 more chapters.
You know what else sucks? I've been sitting on two-to-three pieces of art I've slated for the release of the next chapter for several months.
Hope everyone is keeping well!
Oh
Wait only 3-4 chapters???? Damn now I look forward to the ending

That is just my best estimate. It really depends on the length of each chapter.
I forgot to mention that there's one week left for Katherine in Equestria
If I might give a recommendation 512 GB is not alot of storage. I would recommend Seagate BarraCuda 2 TB 7200 Hard drive. For the price it's pretty good. Last thing if the motherboard supports an NVMe M.2 drive I would look into that as well. Nothing feels better then loading so fast it feels like you skipped the POST screen. :)

Yeah, 512 isn't a lot of space. I intentionally went with a model that has an SSD over a HDD because it has better loading times. A hard drive is basically discs staked on top of one another that's read with a magnet, and that magnetism can degrade over time resulting in longer loading times. A solid state drive is like a USB in that the information is stored using flash memory.
I may or may not be correct with that, though.
The hard drive on my previous computer was 2tb, so once I've taken all the files off of it, I'll try reformatting it to use as raw file storage. Apart from that, I do plan on getting another SSD with at least another 512 or a Tb if i can find one

Instead of going with another SSD I would look to see if your motherboard has a NVMe m.2 port. (The drive itself look like a piece of gum.)
I think we are on gen 3 of SATA cables witch has a max bandwidth of 600 mb/s while NVMe SSD have a bandwidth of 2000+ mb/s. At the lowest level NVMe drives are 3 times faster.
From the summary it seems Katherin still has a *long* time left to go in Equestria. I wonder how this is going to occur. Does the spell fail to return her? Does she get corrupted into the Nightmare? Ive no clue and it why i love this story. I also find myself hoping she never switches back. 30 years of human life is a long time for things to happen.
