A long overdue update · 7:32pm May 4th, 2020
Hello all,
I thought I'd use some free time to give you some information on the lack of updates and my silence. For those uninterested in the details, I am in a bad way, physically and mentally, and it has made me unable to write. I have not given up on any of my stories, I am just not at a place where I can write.
The detailed explanation is a nasty piece of work, but let's start from the beginning. So, my march hiatus clearly ran long, and so far as I see it, it will continue to run until I can fix some personal issues. The first couple surgeries went well, but the last one did not, resulting in light memory loss. Nothing too serious, but I find myself forgetful about certain aspects of the Centurion Project, and I have begun going back through the chapters to fix errors and to refresh myself on what they contain. This is the first thing that has lead to a halt in my continuation, and with the medication I am currently on, things are still fuzzy. I can do enough to function and work (thank god I still have a job) but at the end of the day, when I would usually write, my head gets fuzzy, and my focus is non-existent. It's one of the reasons I haven't put out any updates. I haven't trusted myself to put out good anything, so I've just been... quiet. My family keeps good care of me though, so don't worry about my continued health. They're watching out for me, and I love them for it.
The second issue is that my computer fried itself about a month ago. My motherboard overheated due to some logical errors it encountered while updating, and it fried my hard drive. All of my files, poof, gone. The good news is that it was mostly archival work that I have back ups of, and I keep my idea notes on my phone, but I have still had to spend time recovering things, most notably accounts. All of my account information was saved in a document I never backed up, and all of my passwords and usernames are gone. FIM fic was spared because I like reading on my phone, so I didn't have to spend too long getting back in here.
In sum however, I'm lacking a lot of my old faculties, but I'm on the road to recovery and getting better with every day. I hope to make regular updates again come June, but I still have coursework to finish up, so I'm trying to use my clear-headed moments to do that, since it is really important to me.
In sum though, things went real bad, but they are getting better. With all that said, I did manage to sit down and write a little bit, and as of this post, two chapters (one in CP, and one in the shorts) have been released. I hope everyone is staying safe during quarantine.
Glad you're doing better mate. Take care of yourself first, that's what's important. Best wishes from Denmark.
Ahh good to hear from you and im glad you havent given up on your story's. I hope you will be in good health
Good to hear from you. I'll repeat DanishDash here, glad you're on the road to recovery and I hope you continue on that road. I prefer your heath to your awesome stories I'm afraid. Best wishes from Britain.
Just as long as you're ok, then we can wait for whenever you're in the right frame of mind to continue. You focus on recovering and doing what you need to. The author comes before the story
Everyone has basically already said it, but I'll say it anyway. Glad to hear that you are doing well and I hope that you continue recovering.
