    Story update and other stuff

Believe it or not I've actually started a new job at long last. I'd only planned on staying with my last employer six months, but ended up being stuck there for nearly five years. During my time there I had to put up with some of the worst bigotry I've ever encountered, despite the company claiming to be 'inclusive, supportive of diversity, etc'. Spoiler alert : They weren't!

    Bon Bon's story.

Seems to be coming along well. 365 pages at 192,769 words.

    We'll get there.

    Story Update

Now on page 280 of Bon Bon's story. Looking good so far, but quite a technical challenge as she's been involved in other parts of the Fairlight story arc and I need to be careful tying it all together. I'm also aware that I will need to incorporate Lyra's story into it too.

    Continuing on

Despite one of the readers claiming that they had felt like vomiting after reading my last story, I have pressed on with my scribblings. Apparently eliciting a physical and -or- an emotional response from a story is considered a good thing. Or so I'm told.

Still alive, and Corona free, thus far... · 8:03am Apr 8th, 2020

Hey all, hope you are keeping well.

I can't believe it's been this long since I updated the blog, but here it is.

These last few weeks I've been working flat out delivering food to vulnerable people during the corvid-19 outbreak, which is as fulfilling as it is worrying. It's nice to be appreciated of course, and yet I can't help but feel worried that I'm in a high risk job as well as being in the second highest area of the UK for the virus. The local hospital is overflowing with people suffering from it. My brother is a male nurse working there with Corona patients and It looks like he's caught it himself, so you can imagine how concerning this is for the family. He seems to be okay but we're keeping an eye on him and his daughter.

I sure could do with a few weeks of isolation just for a break from it all! Anyway, I'm working on a new story, one that doesn't involve Fairlight or Tia, but actually is one I have been planning on for ages. Centered around our old friend Lyra, the story is a stand alone and not planned to be a huge one this time either! I'm up to 24 pages as of today, so work is continuing, if slowly. No spoilers.

In the meantime, please take care, and look after those dear to you.

Glad to hear your okay, and hope your brother will be fine.

This whole pandemic is such a mess.

Hey there! Was actually wondering about you the other day. It had been a long while since you had last posted anything. Glad do hear you're doing okay.

Well if you are healthy, that's a good base to start from. (Sorry still kind of new to this commenting stuff) figure it's time to set down with some stories while we're quarantined.☮
