Might Have Just Broke Both Ankles · 12:09am Mar 26th, 2020
I was doing batting practice at a baseball field with my father and I jumped a fence to grab some baseballs and landed super awkwardly on a small piece of metal on the ground I didn’t know was there. I think my left leg might just be sprained but I think my right ankle is broken, both are quite painful to move at all. I can’t walk at all. Partially because of the coronavirus stuff I can’t go to the hospital until tomorrow for x-rays. If it’s broken, it might need surgery.

Thank you. This is actually like a nightmare. We all really take our ability to walk for granted. It’s definitely one of those things that you don’t realize you have until it’s gone. I hope somehow they’re both just bad sprains but it’s just agonizing to put any weight on my right foot, I just can’t, even 2 hours later now, which obviously doesn’t bode well. I feel like a complete moron for letting this happen too.

Thank you all for the kind words. I’ll continue to hope against hope there’s no fracture somehow and they’re just bad sprains. I’ll definitely always be more careful when I’m jumping over a fence after this. I’ve jumped thousands before probably and I guess I finally learned the hard way now.

It is very weak. Humans are quite fragile.
They’re considerably better now, I could walk again after 5 days. But my right fibula is broken and I still wear a boot for it and probably will at least until May.

Yeah you’ve written far more than I have. It’s really impressive, I can definitely tell just from that you like writing.
As you can see I wrote a total of 16 stories on my old account though like 7 or 8 were featured so I had a decent amount of followers anyway before I was banned (I think 600 something?). My last featured story was in 2016 which is actually the last time I wrote a story at all. Honestly the main reason I haven’t written anymore since is because of depression and other personal issues I’ve had since college graduation. I just feel too awful constantly to really sit down and think as hard as it takes to write something decent when I don’t have to.

Don't do that. You need to read them first or write various details. Reading the first chapters of both would be good enough to give you an idea. Also, it would be a good experiment to see if Inkitt's front page Top Reviews only shows romance garbage or civilized fantasy and sci-fi reviews.

They have long since healed, pretty quickly actually. Took only about 5 days to be able to walk with a big boot thing and about month to walk again normally pretty much. This was all around right when Covid hit. Thanks for checking in again I guess 😂.

All I’ve done on this site in the last like 4 years is occasionally vaguely lurk around old posts from my glory days of like obscenely surreptitious and ridiculously frivolous glory days of 2012 here when I was 18 and would get drunk and read fanfics here and made several featured stories back when the featured box was at the top of the page for every user and this site was a lot more popular then during the peak of the fandom’s mainstreamness.
