Howdy howdy~
Derply here, coming at you with a status update on when ya'll can expect the next batch of chapters for The Poisoned Barb's Tale.
First of all, thank you all for all your support throughout the month of February! So far (fingers crossed) it SEEMS my method of taking a month off between weekly updates seems to be working. We're currently going at a click of two episodes every other month which is... decent. I imagine going forward, once a bunch of the heavier chapters are out of the way, we'll be able to pick up the pace a little. I'll certainly never RUSH one of these, as I want to make sure I'm utilizing every single episode the best I can, though some will obviously be more in-depth then others. Spike had a pretty healthy record of appearances in the first season of MLP, so I'm certainly not lacking material.
I won't divulge HOW far into the future I have things planned out already, but take heart that you won't be having to wait super long for payoff to your burning questions.
Speaking off, I LOVE all of the amazing guesses and theories people have been throwing out there! Some are incredibly close, some couldn't be further off if they tried, and a few of them might be 100% correct... but I'll never tell which is which! 
I AM cheekily poking a few of you right now that are on the more close-ish side, and I certainly reach out randomly to the ones right on the money to give them a victory boop, so please never feel discouraged to speak your theory! You're enthusiasm keeps my spirit burning, and together we'll survive until Gen 5 finally drops and... probably never live up to its legacy 
So then! Now that you've suffered through my ramblings; here's what the current game plan is for April!
Another two episodes are on the docket; Dragonshy and Look Before you Sleep. Dragonshy has been drafted at three chapters long, while Look Before is most likely going to end up being one or two chapters. The latter episode grants me a golden ticket in the form of Spike's "Royal Business" excuse for his absence on that particular day, so that's going to be fun to explore.
Overall it'll be a little lighter month considerably to what February was, while also being closer to how December turned out. What this will translate to is more time being granted to me to work on the update batch planned for June...
... which will consist of only ONE canon episode... For reasons 
Anyways, I think that's all I really need to say for now. I hope to see you all again in April

P.S. Oh! Completely slipped my mind while typing this, but what's everyone's thoughts of me posting an April Fool's day chapter for this year? Like I wrote in the one The Poisoned Barb had, I don't really "trick" people per-say with such things; instead I like to create non-canon situations that wouldn't likely happen. There's been two major ideas I've been kicking around for awhile, I just wasn't sure if they were something people would be interested in reading. Please let me know what you think, and if you're interested in hear more. Thanks!
I wouldn't mind an April Fools episode as long as it doesn't take time or energy away from the main story. It should be fun for the reader AND for you.

True true. I've been toying around with the idea of a yearly tradition where I have one of the mane six members of this universe interact with their counterparts not in the main verse, but instead the Rule 63 one. Think Rainbow Dash meeting Rainbow Blitz, essentially.
I also have this other one where it's basically It's About Time, but with Barb's future self trolling her past self. I'm just imagining the amount of BS I can have her spew, that NOBODY would believe, and then watch as people eventually discover the sprinkling of stuff that was actually canon XD
Hmmm... But I think I'll finish the next batch first before I start exploring those ideas
