Chapter 2: The Trial
Outside of the library was warm, bright, and even more bright colors than the inside interior of the Golden Oaks Library. Unfortunately for Cvt and his friend Ahni, they didn’t have time to soak into all of it. Instead, they had to run from it all, and if they didn't escape, they could possibly be imprisoned for Celestia knows how long. All because Cvt decided one day that he wanted to write fanfiction based on My Little Pony.
“I can’t believe this is happening?! Why couldn’t they take someone who writes clopfics or grimdark or anything else???” He thought, as he ran down the street of ponyville, gaining the attention of all the other citizens, who were just minding their own business, that was until they saw the two getting chased by the elements of harmony. Once they noticed, it was like a show to them, they looked on, but didn’t help. Bystanders if you would.
“I… I can’t…” He heard his friend Ahni pant. He looked behind and saw that she’d started falling behind.
“Ahni! You have to run faster otherwise you’ll get caught!” His friend just glanced at him, as she fell to the ground from exhaustion.
“I’m… Too tired… to run…” Applejack, using her lasso, caught and bound her.
“Ah got one!” She yelled to the others, who ran right past her to catch Cvt.
“Don’t worry about me, just get the hell outta here!” Cvt looked on at the incoming ponies, the stress of the situation intensified, now that he was alone.
“Shit!” He turned and kept running.
“Don’t worry! I’ll get him!” The voice of Pinkie Pie called from behind, but Cvt didn’t look back. Suddenly, he heard the sounds of quick hoofsteps hitting the ground right next to him.
“Hia!” Pinkie said, moving right in front of him, almost as if she came out of nowhere, at least for Cvt.
“Ah! How the-” He stopped himself, remembering who he was talking to.
“While my other friends worry about your little friend, I want you to say hello to my PARTY CANNON!” With that, pinkie seemingly pulled her trademark cannon out of nowhere, quickly placing it down and wrapping her hooves around the fuse.
PEW!
“GAH!” Cvt cried, just nearly avoiding the blast radius, the colorful candy-like confetti spilling all over the ground.
“Aw I missed!” Pinkie whined, before aiming once again at Cvt. “That’s okay, there’s plenty more where that came from.” She was about to fire at the poor Fimfiction writer again when she noticed something wrong with her cannon.
“Whoops, I have it on the wrong settings. Just wait there for jjjuuuuuuuuusssssst a moment.” As she went to the side to go put her cannon on the right settings that would actually knock Cvt down instead of just shooting confetti, he saw this as his chance. He was about to run, but then a better idea crossed his mind, though he was unsure if it would even work, it was worth a shot.
As soon as Pinkie was done adjusting the settings, she came back to the cannon. “Alrighty then, are you ready-” She cut herself off when she saw Cvt lift the nozzle of the device up and with a push, it went to the other side, where it faced Pinkie, who went wide-eyed as soon as she noticed his hand wrapped around the fuse.
“I didn’t think I would have to say this to one of my favorite characters, but screw off!” He pulled the fuse, letting out a large “bang!” of confetti and noise, knocking Pinkie on her flank.
“Ouch! That wasn’t very nice,” she said, rubbing her head as Cvt started running again.
“Well, neither was what you tried to do to me!” He kept running, the citizens still watching, unsure of what to do. Rainbow Dash quickly flew up to Pinkie Pie.
“Oh my gosh Pinkie, are you alright?!” She asked frantically.
“Yeah…” Pinkie nodded. “I should probably fix that so nopony else can do that again…” Rainbow glared at Cvt, who was quite a distance away at this point.
“Don’t worry. We got one of them, I’ll go get him.” She said, before speeding off, as Twilight and the others tended to Pinkie.
“HEY!” Cvt gulped, as soon as he heard Rainbow Dash yell. He turned around, and let out a sharp and somewhat girly gasp. Rainbow was speeding towards him.
“Oh very much no!!” He turned and ran in between houses, and alleyway of sorts, but nowhere near as long as the ones in between larger buildings. It didn’t take long for the speed demon to get right onto his tail, as only after mere seconds he entered, Rainbow appeared at the end of where he entered from. He was screwed, unless…
“Huh?” He said as he noticed something in front of him. It was a mental cage, holding various different items. It wasn’t too big and was leaning against a wall, but it was tall enough that if he were to throw it down, it wouldn’t fall flat to the ground, but instead, it would lean against the other wall.
“I got you now!” Rainbow shouted, and before she started to move again, Cvt threw the cage down. Rainbow, who had already started moving at a quick speed, couldn’t stop herself from crashing into the mental bars, getting her head stuck in between them.
“Gah! What the-” She said, trying to free herself, but to no avail.
“Great! Now that they’re out of the way I can escape and find a way to get back to Ahni before-” He cut his thoughts off when he reached the end of the small alleyway, where all five of the mane six were waiting, a very unhappy expression on all of their faces. He was about to run, but saw Rainbow behind him, managing to free herself from the small prison. It looks like he was screwed after all.
“Fuck.”
Please tell me what you all think about this.
I would like to see Cvt fall back and try to prevent Ahni capture before running off.
