Magisight Chapter 29: DELAY · 11:30pm Jan 31st, 2020
Woop woop, doesn't this seem familiar? Chapter 29 will be delayed for 1-2 weeks. My editor has been super swamped with IRL, and I've been having some 11th-hour-last-minute concerns about the chapter myself. There are parts of chapter 29's narrative structure I am unsure on, and I don't know how happy I am with its execution. It might get another full re-write, or maybe just tweaks. I can't say for certain yet if it will be ready next week or if we'll push it back two weeks. I know it seems every 3rd or 4th chapter gets delayed, but that's the nature of the beast, unfortunately. If it weren't for that pesky IRL, I could have a sequel or two out by now!
I will say this, however! We are currently looking at a total of 33 chapters! Based on the first draft of the story written about a year ago, and accounting for various changes and tweaks over the publication duration, I can confidently say the full story will conclude at 33 chapters (or 32+epilogue, but who's keeping score?). I know there are a number of you (lookin' at you iisaw 
) waiting for the story to be finished before reading it, and I honestly don't blame you. I'm very similar and rarely dive into in-progress stories. But, take confidence in knowing that we're in the home stretch, and assuming no more delays (lol) we should be done sometime in April or something.
In other news, YES, there is a song for Cloudsbane still coming! The project proved to be way more ambitious than previously thought, but the final result is spectacular. The song has been finished, but it's been accepted into the album series A State of Sugar, so it cannot be made public until that album debuts in a few weeks. For those into the music, rest assured, it's still coming!
