Stallion of Steel

It's never as bad as it seems. In this world there is right and there is wrong, and that distinction is not difficult to make. You're much stronger than you think you are. Trust me.

    Where've been part 2

If it seems that I've been taking forever it's because I have. As I said in my last blog I was trying to make some changes in my life. Some are going okay, others not so okay. I failed my road test due to a simple mistake caused by a migraine. So now I have to take online courses and practice for 24 hours. Plus I'm trying out some new medication to help my migraines. It helps somewhat, but I have

    Where I've been.

So it's been a while since I did any writing here. There are mainly three reasons for this.

    1. My depression. My depression has been rearing its ugly head again. Luckily I could locate a therapist nearby and schedule an appointment for a session.

    Legion of Superhero Characters.

So one of the upcoming chapters will be based on its about time. After reading some feedback, I've decided this would be a place to introduce the Legion of Superheroes. The story will closely follow their debut in Adventure Comics #247 The heroes are to be presented as follows.

    Update: where I've been.

It's been two...I think months since I last posted a chapter. I've kind of been busy with other things. Mostly work related. As well as dealing with a bit of writers block. I'll try to get Super Bloom part 2 finished this month. I promise.

    Comet Update.

I'm writing this post to inform you that I've struggled to stay motivated with my writing lately. I've just been overwhelmed with everything that's happening in the world. I keep finding myself easily distracted by news stories and the things I used to do for fun, don't seem to elicit joy from me anymore. I thought at first it was because I was tired from working. But now I think I might be at

More character ideas. · 5:32pm Jan 26th, 2020

So yesterday I got some feedback from my followers about my ideas for the Justice Stable Roster. One of them even suggested adding Queen Novo as Aquaman and Thorax as Jonn Jonzz. Both of these are excellent suggestions and I'll definitely consider them. In the meantime, I've come up with a few more ideas.

Green Lantern: I still need a Green Lantern for Equis's sector of the galaxy. Although I'm not drawing up any conclusions at the moment.

The Flash: Probably a Pegasus.

Zatara: A showmare, possibly Trixie's apprentice,

Shazam: I was thinking a group of children could fill out the Shazam family. Little Cheese, Big Mac, and Sugar Belle's son. Maybe Ponyville's chapter of the CMC shares it as a power.

The Atom: I was thinking maybe a Breezie who can grow to Pony Size.

Little Strongheart: Based on Apache Chief from The Superfriends. She has the power to grow to gigantic size.

I hear the work whistle so I better get going. If you have any more ideas, let me know in the comments down below.

I absolutely love ALL of these ideas. I particularly liked the idea of a Breezie that can grow to pony size as the Atom and Little Strongheart as the Apache Chief analogue (she would probably be 25 years more experienced than most of the rest of the team as she would get her powers during the "Over A Barrel" analogue, but that's great because she can help train the other less experienced heroes).

Zecora could be Frightening Lightning (the Black Lightning/Black Vulcan analogue) since it would be rather easy visualizing her gaining electrical powers from some of her potions.

Prince Blueblood's son (this is assuming he has learned to tone down the jerkishness enough over the years where he COULD find a mare that could put up with him long enough for him to conceive a child with her) could be Green Arrow (spent a few years stranded on a desert island having to learn to survive on little more than his grit and wits. Eventually, by the time he is rescued, he has developed much more of a backbone, a stronger conscience and quite respectable skills as an archer AND an inventor. Yeah, he develops into a competent hoof-to-hoof fighter too, but nowhere near Midnight's level).

Sweetie Belle (as an adult) could be Black Canary (considering the craziness of some of the adventures she and her friends end up in, it wouldn't be TOO MUCH of a stretch to imagine her coming across something that gives her a sonic scream power [which she would have to learn to control so she DIDN'T use it accidentally during her singing career] and it ALSO wouldn't be much of a stretch to visualize Rarity teaching Sweetie Belle enough about detective work and hoof-to-hoof combat to fill THOSE aspects of the Black Canary role).

A.K. Yearling/Daring Do could be Metamorpho (coming across a mysterious artifact during her travels that grants her increased strength and longevity as well as the ability to transform herself into any element or combination of elements she can visualize).

Diamond Tiara (as an adult) could be Plastic Mare (a reformed criminal who gains super-stretching powers and increased longevity from a freak chemical accident while inspecting one of her father's factories).

Actually, Flash could be, well, Flash Sentry (a fusion of the Jay Garrick and Wally West versions [Jay Garrick as far as age and experience goes, Wally West as far as personality goes] getting his super-speed powers from a lucky fluke concerning one of Twilight's spells) - no secret identity because ALL of his family and friends can MORE THAN take care of themselves anyway.

And I'll let you know if I come up with anything else.

Spike could become green lantern. When he gets his powers he becomes stuck in the teenage dragon stage of maturity. His ability could be enhanced as he gets older. It's been done before, so I think that it will be a great idea.

Yeah. Intriguing idea, actually. Actually a mixture of the Hal Jordan AND Kyle Rayner versions (Hal's origin, Kyle's youth and imagination).

Well, maybe ONE element of the John Stewart version too. Namely Ember in the Hawkgirl role.

And, yeah, considering, as an older dragon, he would probably have the Flying Brick/Flying Firepower package EVEN WITHOUT THE RING (though the ring would obviously amp it up quite a bit) that would give him a couple extra tricks in a tough spot.

And it wouldn't be TOO hard to visualize the "great fear" Spike would need to overcome in order to be chosen for the ring either considering his role in stopping Sombra the first time (okay TECHNICALLY second, but you get the idea) and considering Sombra pretty much RUNS ON FEAR.

And, considering the fact that Sombra runs on fear, it wouldn't be hard to visualize him getting inducted into the Sinestro Corps. Sombra being upgraded with a yellow ring would definitely justify them needing both the Crystal Heart AND a Green Lantern power ring to take him down.

Another few ideas I just thought of (and these will be the last ones for a while, I Pinkie Promise):

Gabby could be Miss Terrific (insanely multi-talented, tries to be as helpful as possible to as many others as possible)

Starlight Glimmer could be Doctor Fate (comes across the Helm of Nabu and granted the increased magic of the Spirit of Order [basically equal, but opposite, in power to Discord, who is the Spirit of Chaos] which greatly amplifies her already quite considerable magical power)

Bon Bon could be Samurai (she could find some magic bands that grant her wind magic equal to that of two dozen well-trained pegasi as well as the power of invisibility. Plus, she could also find a magic flaming sword. And her experience in a secret monster-hunter club means she's probably got some pretty respectable fighting skills)

Lyra could be El Dorado (it wouldn't be hard to visualize her finding some sort of trinkets that amp up her magic enough where she can teleport longer distances than a normal well-trained unicorn, plus possess telepathic abilities that allow her to read minds and create really realistic illusions).

Did you see the Emerald Torch story too?
Also:did my comment have the spoiler thing on it?

5192793
Afraid not, on both counts. In fact I haven't even heard of the story you mentioned until now (though there have been a couple of other stories that had Spike as a Green Lantern). I was just making a couple of wild guesses.

What were the other stories called?

Unfortunately, I DON'T remember the titles (though I am trying very hard to right now).
