Some of the jokes pointed out in John

I'm going to be slightly kind and reveal a few of the jokes in John so far. These are the chapter title jokes as well as the song joke in the chapter Wake Up Call. The one in Spot of Tea, Change for Me is actually a plot point in one of the upcoming side arc chapters so I think you can wait to hit me for that one later. Without further ado:

Run John Run - Reference to the movie Run Lola Run.
Master of the House - Reference to the song in Les Miserables.
Time for Tea! - From a short series of sketches from Loading Ready Run about a west country version of the Doctor from Doctor Who. "Time for tea!" is that Doctor's catch phrase. (I can't give the link to the sketches themselves because of what all of the group's short sketches are called. Sorry.)
The Life of Boo - Either Life of Brian or the Secret Life of Pets (you decide).

From Wake Up Call:

I turned my head to try and see who was speaking, only to find that I was in the cage with a deer. I squinted at the form. A doe. Stubby horns? Full grown deer, I reckon. Tapered, slender body. Hmm, probably still a female deer.

I know, should be A deer. Just didn't work right in the structure.

I hope you are all suitably disappointed in me.
