Good news everyone! I've already started writing my annual Mayor Mare story with the hope of having it completed by the 20th. The ideas are coming and I'm somewhat confident I can fashion them into a coherent story.
Bad news. I do have a life and will be waylaid for two precious days, meaning there's no way I'll also be able to get another EQUESTRIA GIRLS story out during the same time period, to say nothing of the non-MLP story I want to put up on my actual website.
I feel like I need to put way more effort into something I intend to put my real name on. Know what I mean?
ANYWAY. The amusing coincidence is that, as y'all may know, the very first story I ever published on this site, Ponyville Holds An Election, went up on January 20th 2015 -- thus why I do a Mayor Mare story every January 20th. Well, tonight I was organizing my woefully neglected backlog of MLP comics and discovered that the comic writers did a Mayor vs. Filthy Rich election story about 18 months after my story. Now of course I'm not conceited enough to think any comic writers would have read that story -- very few readers here have read that story. I just found it amusing. "Great" minds think alike or whatever.
I actually haven't read the issues in question, but I'm reasonably certain they don't involve Granny Smith winning as a write-in and then hints that she's secretly an Alicorn princess who has massive justified beef with Celestia.
That shouldn't be a spoiler since "Annie" has been out now for several months. If my readers haven't read that story, it's their fault. Y'all have no idea how much universe building crap I've held back over the years. I was thinking about that tonight.
In the Pony-world, I have an entire backstory for Pinkie which, while I did summarize it, didn't go into much detail, especially since I also go into detail about how AJ's parents died. It's not pretty, especially not for poor Bright Mac. Plus the whole why does Discord take orders from Granny Smith. That'll probably be addressed in my upcoming Mayor Mare story.
In the EQG-world, it's about Sci-Twi and how her actions in my universe deviate from what she does in canon and have a profound effect on the Universe, plus how that affects Sunset and Apple Bloom and everything else. Plus the Secret Of The Universe Itself and how the Dazzlings fit into it.
