Divergence - Epic · 3:15pm Jan 8th, 2020
So, a few days ago, without me really realizing it, I reached a milestone. I've gotten into a really good flow with these last bits of the story (seriously, the hardest subplot is now completely done and over with and literally everything else is smooth sailing stuff that's been pretty firm in my head since forever ago), so much so that I lost track of some things. I'm extremely happy right now.
But we're near the end. I hope to be done with the story in a little over thirteen thousand words or so. I want this story to be shorter than Substitute, even if it's just by a little bit. I think I might be able to do it, too.
But for now, the milestone: the total draft for Divergence has reached 100,000 words!
By formal definition, Divergence has now surpassed the traditional definition of a novel and is now classified as an epic. This is a pretty neat distinction.
For anypony that's curious, the 100,000th word is... little.
That is awesome. Congratulations.
Very nice. I don't think a single one of my stories on here has gotten that far...yet.
Anyway, glad to know progress is being made, and I look forward to seeing the fruit of your labor.
