    One Year

It's hard to believe it's been a year since my dad died. Sometimes it feels like a decade ago, sometimes it feels like it was just last week.

Splitting the Multiverse? · 8:01pm Jan 3rd, 2020

So, The Multiverse in a Nutshell has passed one hundred thousand words in length, and now that it has I find myself questioning some things.

Sometimes, extremely long stories like this can seem utterly unapproachable. High word counts can scare people off. Also, I've started to feel like the singular picture and description might not be a good representation of how varied the contents can be.

As such, I find myself asking the question: should I split it into multiple stories? If I did, each arc (AKA every time the crossover changes) would be an individual submission, and would be tied together as a chain of sequels.

I feel like not only would this make the story more accessible to people, it would make it easier for people to find any particular crossover they're looking for if they're only interested in a certain series or want to skip one.

But it would also make the series harder to read as a single story and might feel disjointed, both of which would go against the idea I had in mind for this story.

The middle ground would be to possibly split it into sections of multiple crossovers, and split the story after major events, like finding a member of the Rainbooms and adding them to the party or a particularly intense series of events that upset the status quo.

So, I want to hear from all of you. I need your help and your input. I need you all to leave your thoughts on this matter in the comments and VOTE HERE. I'll be talking to a few other writer friends of mine about the matter, as well.

Thank you all for reading and loving Multiverse, it's such a joy to work on!

Finding each member of the Rainbooms would make a good climax to a story. I'm open to helping with ideas, though.

Me, sitting here, actively looking for stories with higher word counts

Well, looking at the results of the poll it looks like TMiaN will be completely contain in a single story, something that I’m actually OK with, however I will recommend you to rename some chapters to add a distinción of when a new part of the story stars, maybe something like: “ark I: the voyage begins”, and then the name and number of the chapter
