Although this is late for Christmas, I'm glad to at least have chapter 8 updated and reposted before the end of the year.

Chapter 8 was about dragons and bullies in the original story. That moment with the dragon is still coming as I'm aiming to keep most chapters between 3.5k and 5k words in duration (and thus, it's been shifted back quite a wee bit to where it will fit best). But in other ways, I feel as though this revised story is moving along faster and with a real purpose.
Still no chapter update yet as this chapter was first posted Jan 2013 and this site doesn't seem to give a notification for updating something old and reposting it on the same chapter. But if you have a moment and don't mind reading some cute fillies, I would appreciate feedback on the direction of the rewritten tale.
