Sorry the next chapter of A Deer Named John is not out yet. I am writing it, just not finished yet.
Also just got hit again by that rather devastating thing I mentioned back on the 16th. My mother's only sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We only found out the day after. Has already spread to other areas so is considered stage four terminal. She took a turn on Christmas Day. Hoping she can at least last until Monday when my mother can visit, wasn't easy getting flights while keeping to her sister's wishes to avoid being too close to Christmas. Not going to say much more on it at this time due to only so much info given to me so far, but it isn't looking good.
So, yeah. Kinda distracted, but trying my best for all, both here and IRL.

I'm sorry to hear that. Take your time to deal with your family situation. That is more important.

Thank you to both of you. What was potential thought of as days, weeks or months only just over a week ago is now looking shorter. A member of our family was already headed to that city as of this morning before the extra news came through. They will now be visiting our Aunt just in case our mother can't get there in time. The added part is the wider family all believes that when she goes, her husband, also suffering major health problems, probably will pass from heartbreak. So, yeah, this could be an incredibly heavy and sad time. On the lighter side a visit by that same Aunt to the supermarket shortly after the original discovery had her declare: "Right! Doesn't matter now. I can eat whatever I want!" So very much her.
