Nightmare: Revisions & Expectations going forward. · 10:04pm Dec 3rd, 2019
Hey y'all.
So I realize it's been a hot Minnesotan minute since I've actually posted anything. I'm doing a bit better than before, and I'm finally getting some of my ducks in a row. So I figured I owe you guys an update on Nightmare and what's going on with that.
Taking the advice of my editor and one of the Reviewers over at the Reviewer's group, I'm currently going through the process of revising Nightmare so it's not quite as "eh" in the beginning. Mainly, this takes the form of removing Ch.1 completely, a polishing and light revision of chapters 2-6, and overhaul of later chapters after that.
I'm not quite sure how long it will take as I have a lot coming up in the coming year, but ideally I want to have finished the revision by March of 2020, and potentially even finish the story itself by Hearth's Warming.
Now onto the slightly saddening part.
Due to the... admittedly large drop in quality when I was pushing myself to post once a week, I will be switching my upload schedule, once I have completed the revisions, to either biweekly or once a month, depending on how much time I have available. I hope y'all are fine with this, because it will allow me to make Nightmare's story much more understandable and enjoyable for the future. It means larger word counts, more plot development, and overall just a better story if I take my time.

Yeah, I certainly get that. But I hope to make that worth doing. Ultimately, I fucked up the beginning, and I'd rather go back and fix whats fucked up than leave it broken, y'know?
