Ladies and gentlemen... it's finally back.

The preparations are complete and the years long hiatus has been lifted. It's finally time to put The Masks We Wear back into the story rotation. I resolved to start this story up again for the new year and that's exactly what I aim to do starting with this new chapter.

Still have some motivation and inspiration left to keep writing, but...

It's been shifted over to another story for the time being—specifically, Sparkle. I've been thinking about that particular cliffhanger a lot lately, and I figured it was about time I got back to it. I'm about 1,800+ words into the final chapter of Episode VII and hope to be done by next week. I do have an IRL job so we'll have to see, but here's hoping.

New chapter of Survivor's Guide releasing tomorrow morning.

Just what it says on the tin. Running out of steam a bit so this might be the last one for while, but again, we'll see. No guarantees. Never any guarantees.

    Except for this.

This next chapter release is a guarantee.

I'll even give you a time frame.

Chapter will be out around 8:00am MST or 3pm UTC.

New chapter should be out by tomorrow afternoon, but in the meantime... · 5:13pm Dec 2nd, 2019

I have some more unsettling artwork to show off, made of course by none other than artist and fellow horror enthusiast, Mix-up! This time it's an artist's rendition of our favorite bug queen.

Eh, I've seen worse, though the sudden/gradual acquisition of an internal skeleton must have been a uniquely hideous experience. It's not every day one runs across such an entirely new concept in suffering, how very marvelous.

I think she looks more beautiful with that new internal skeleton of her's.

Well I suppose, if you're into that kind of thing. Smooth surface without any noticeable wearing or damage, symmetrical structure, no aberrant warping, not a bad example of unliving grace. But if she's going to commit to the style she really needs to clear off the rest of her fleshy matter, go in for a nice thorough scrubbing and polish to get all the bits out/off and put a shine on. Chrysalis has always been a bit vain, so while I don't usually advise extraneous ornamentation some inlays on the skull and major leg-bones could really make the ensemble.

Gold, of course, with some onyx or obsidian trimming. Perhaps even some jade? Jade and the skeletal unliving don't usually mix, but I think she could pull it off. Yes, I think a jade trim for the horn, perhaps after a bit of alteration to get it back on true, and some swirling accents around the skull and eye sockets. Sounds quite lovely.

kinda glad the Creators didn’t include that, showing a bug with a Exoskeleton in a kids show? no thank you,

Eh? I'm sorry, I couldn't parse that.
