New website! · 10:58am Nov 26th, 2019

Hey,

In preparation for the release of my new novel, hopefully this year, I've gone ahead and made a brand new original website to officially house my writing business. Check it out here.

The website is very bare bones as of now; I'm planning on filling it up with some actual content gradually.

For now, I'd appreciate if people hopped over to the site and poked around, just to see if anything is broken. If you have a few minutes to spare, I encourage you to click the link above. Maybe check on desktop as well as mobile.

Here's a little challenge: can you find any personal information about me on the site? I'm thinking primarily home address, email address, phone number, etc.. Ideally, it's all private and protected, but I'm not tech savvy at all (which is why I used one of those website builders they keep shilling around the internet to make this site), so I'd appreciate it if anyone could dig into the code to see what they can find.

I'll have a more substantial update regarding the new book soon. Ish. Hopefully.

Thank you!

Consider me subscribed, my friend.

"it stands to reason that changing the movement of that stuff is the key to enacting your will on the universe"

But determinism and stuff...!

Links on where to purchase your works (if/when they’re available) would be great. I can’t seem to find any on the mobile version.

My first impression from a design perspective is that your header takes up literally over half my screen -- personally I'd cut that down by a lot, so that visitors actually see your content without having to scroll down "below the fold".

Otherwise, I don't see any personal info anywhere with a quick look around, even in WHOIS, so I think you're safe!

On the mobile version, there's actually an openable menu in the top right corner, which has a button to the "Works" page. However, you're probably right in that it's easy to miss. I've toyed around with the website design a bit further; there are now buttons on the header to take the visitor around the site, both on desktop and mobile. Please check again and see if everything works.

Yeah, that header is obnoxious and I struggled with getting it under control; it's the curse of using these prebuilt drag-and-drop website building tools. I think the site is a lot more legible now. Take a look.

The philosophy of the cottage cheese doesn't touch on determinism. Assuming determinism is true, then you could in theory roll back time and see the "prime mover" that got all the early little bits of cottage cheese moving and extrapolate deterministically from there. If determism is false and true randomness is fundamental to the universe, well, then the cottage cheese just moves randomly. It's pure science. Cottage cheese science.

Ah, it's been a long time! We worked on my first book together, right?

Yep everything is just as you said!

Much improved!

Words that aren't about horses? Gross.

Glad to hear your writing career is taking off, man! I'll be keeping an eye on this.

But if absolute randomness is the true principle of thte universe, then what's stopping the Cottage Cheese from turning into a Tomato Salad?

Yeah, for what little good I was, haha!

Glad to see you're still in the writing game. Looking forward to the new books.
