I Give Up · 12:31am Nov 26th, 2019
I've decided to stop working on SMILE Agent Aria Blaze. Admittedly, I've been struggling with it for a while, even before I published the first chapter, which was like the third or fourth time I had written the beginning. That in its own isn't the problem though. I also find myself suddenly hating what I have. So, I'm going to leave it.
I can't say with absolute certainty that it's cancelled. I honestly don't like the idea of doing that. At the same time, however, I feel like I can't write it the way I want, and feel like I'm pushing myself to work on something I stopped caring about.
So, I'm going to keep publishing the chapters I have completed up until I reach the end of the buffer. Once that happens, I'll put the story on hiatus, or just cancel it. I actually have a few months to make up my mind.
To the few of you that have been reading and enjoying the story: I'm sorry for disappointing you or letting you down. I hope that you will still enjoy what is there, as well as my other stories, and promise that I won't let this become a habit.
Thank you for your understanding.
Ink Hoof.
I'm sorry that your inspiration fell flat. I hope you find more enjoyment in pursuing other ideas, and that the joy for Agent Blaze returns someday.
Having a break from longer works is sometimes needed. It is doing wonders for me, it has let me find joy in writing again. Whether or not you return to this particular piece, I hope you discover your joy for writing again.
Aaaw. That story's in my "read later" list.....
I hope you can return to it someday, when you feel ready!
I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for the chapters you wrote.
