Well, today is just bad news central, I guess. · 7:38pm Nov 13th, 2019
I was fired from my job this morning. 
It sucks, but I'll move on, probably back to my in-progress novel and more fanfics for now. I won't bore you with the many details, but basically, they wanted perfection, and I'm only human. My manager never checked anybody's work that thoroughly, if at all; tiny engineering mistakes were bound to slip through the cracks eventually, no matter how rigorously I looked over my work.
But that's just bad for me. What's bad news for basically every brony is this. The first details on the new my little pony show are out. And, well, I'm not optimistic.
To summarize: Pony Life will be a pure slice of life comedy, having little to no adventuring, with the same characters as FiM. Pinkie Pie is the main focus, and most events will take place in Sugarcube Corner. The art style is now extremely chibi, even though the original one was plenty cute already.
Taken collectively, what other show do these changes remind you of? If you answered Teen Titans Go, you've hit the nail on the head. Now, I don't hate TTG, unlike some people. It's a decent comedy, one I found worth watching for a few chuckles when I had nothing better to do. But that's all it is. And I'm afraid that's all Pony Life will be.
It's confirmed to be a spin-off. Not G5.
Well, if it's terrible, we can ignore it. If it isn't, so much the better.
That said, my condolences on the job front. Here's hoping you can fidn somewhere that doesn't expect you to do your own QA.
I'm curious enough to give it a go and see what comes of it. Who knows, they might surprise us.
