Well, folks, it happened again! Another writer has taken up the challenge of writing a PoE: NeirdaE has graced us all with The Resident.
I should also add it’s NerdaE’s first story, which is really awesome and completely flattering! I am using my powers for good. 
While AlwaysDressesInStyle’s story used ponies I was familiar with, NerdaE’s story uses a job I’m passingly familiar with, and I’ll be honest, it’s not a job a lot of people are cut out for. No, I’m not talking about being an auto mechanic; if you can hit things with a wrench you can be an auto mechanic. I’m talking about my other job, the one I almost never talk about because of HIPPO HIPAA rules. The one where I work with developmentally disabled adults. Metformin is mentioned, and that’s one drug that I pass to some of our residents.
I should also say that he included a blog post with story notes, which is totally cool. Everybody should do that, and if I can get this to be commonplace on FimFic, well . . .
Also, I’ll say right here in response to a question his protagonist has, equines can get diabetes; I looked that up once. Pinkie Pie, you’d better get your sugar intake under control, or you’re gonna have a bad time.
NerdaE mentioned that this story doesn’t quite follow the rules of the contest, but does follow the spirit, to which I say the rules are what I say they are and I think this is a fine addition, and I think y’all will agree.
