A Question

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm not so widely up on what all of the races from the show and comics can do; particularly the more fringe ones.

To that end, I was wondering, do the deer have/use magic? If so, what kinds?

Clarification will be greatly appreciated and could affect future stories of mine.

Just from checking the wiki, they appear to have the power to magically grow and control plant life. So unless someone has read those comics and can say otherwise, I'd peg them with higher growing magic than earth ponies, but less super-strength.
