The ending commeth! My god, I really had hoped to have this story finished before the end of My Little Pony : Friendship Is Magic.
Speaking of that, Hasbro really needs to get the ball rolling on Generation 5. That shit better be great. We need to get the people who made She-Ra and Carmen Sandiego together to make the new MLP. MOAR PONIES!
So, as to the future of Starlight Over Detrot. Quashing any rumors to the contrary...YES, We are finishing the story. I will not stop until you have the epilogue in your hooves! It's a couple chapters from now.

I got a fun request earlier this week to convert Starlight into an RPG setting for a tabletop game.
I wanna make a thing super clear : Do whatever you want with this story. Starlight Over Detrot is as close to public domain as I can legally make it. The original characters are yours. The setting is yours. It's all out there in the world. I have no legal claim to it. It was written to teach me to write and nothing else.

For real, we're getting a ton of magnificent kids shows which have great stories and deep characters. She-Ra, Tangled : The TV series, Duck Tails, Carmen Sandiego, 3Below, Trollhunter...there is no damn shortage of good producers.
The people exist. All they have to do is give them the freedom to make the series great.

She-Ra folks is a no from me, mostly on the grounds of storytelling for every episode being the same dang thing (not to be confused with characterizations, which is diverse and represents those usually not given a spotlight in traditional entertainment media).
Now if the writers and music composers of Steven Universe were to work on Gen 5, however...

So glad to hear this. I started reading the story on Day 1 and kept up with it up until about midway through the Supermax, then put it on the back burner because I was starting to lose track of the plot, and it didn't seem like it'd be ending anytime soon.
Picked it up out of my 'to read when finished' list not even a month ago, and was pleasantly surprised to find that a) it's still going, and b) it will have a definite conclusion. Already caught up and passed the point where I was before, and have already had a couple of "daayyyyum" moments, and one definite "son of a @&#&@!" moment when you namedropped Twilight Sparkle :)
Looking forward to getting current on the story and seeing how it concludes!
